WHAT IS LED ?

LED means : light emitting diode

Basically, LED is just a tiny light bulb. But unlike ordinary incandescent bulbs They don't have a filament that will burn out, and don't get especially hot. They are illuminated solely by the movement of electrons in a semi conductor material due to the passage of low current.

EFFICIENCY

LED use 80% of the electrical energy consumed to generate light energy ,the remaining 20% is lost as heat .Traditional incandescent light transform 20% of electrical energy in light energy and 80% of the electrical power is lost as heat, which mean that LED is 80% more efficient than conventional lighting and 80% more economical.
